Dear Connellsville Area School District families, please view the attached video and read the attached document for more information about our holiday break and our return to virtual instruction after the New Year.

On December 16, the Board of School Directors approved that all CASD buildings would remain closed for students and instruction would be delivered online until January 11, 2021.

In an effort to consistently update our community on our ability to provide Face to Face education in our District, we wanted to share that we have not had any cases of COVID-19 that apply to the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Recommendations for Pre-K to 12 Schools Following Identification of a Case(s) of Covid-19

Over the course of the weekend of November 22, 2020 CASD was made aware of two additional confirmed positive COVID-19 cases at Connellsville Area High School.

On November 9, 2020, at approximately 8:35pm, CASD was notified of one
case of confirmed positive COVID-19 of a driver employed by a transportation contractor. All CASD schools will continue to operate in our four day face-to-face model with Wednesday remaining virtual for all students.

At approximately 9:15am on October 30 the Connellsville Area School District was notified by the PA Department of Health of one case of confirmed positive COVID-19 at Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center. The student is also a member of the CAHS football team.

All college-bound juniors and seniors, along with their parents, are encouraged to register for the October 26th Webx.

The immunization requirements for all students entering Kindergarten, 7th and 12th grades have been suspended by the DOH for a period of 2 months, the immunizations will continue to be a requirement for students entering these grades. The new deadline is October 26, 2020.
