Welcome

Welcome to the Business Department!!

My name is Amy Witt. I have been a teacher within the Connellsville Area School District for 12 years. I have taught at Junior High West, Zachariah Connell Elementary, South Side Elementary, West Crawford Elementary, and I was Assistant Director of Technology where I assisted in Technology Integration for our staff. However, I currently serve in the Business Education Department where I was asked to revitalize our Computer Science class along with teaching various Business Courses. I currently teach AP CSP, CSP, Intro to Computer Science, Computer Programming, Social Media Marketing, and Yearbook.

I am a 1998 graduate of Connellsville Area High School. After graduation, I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I played softball and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating from Pitt, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Education from St. Vincent College. After graduating from St. Vincent College, I worked for Freedom Area School District for one year before being hired at Shaler Area School District where I taught middle school and was an assistant coach for their softball team. In addition, I participated and presented at various conferences both locally and nationally. After working at Shaler, I was given the opportunity to move back home and teach at the Connellsville Area School District. While at Connellsville, I have helped and implemented professional development, was nominated as a Keystone Technology Integrator, and have written and received various grants in my tenure here.

In addition, I am a mother of two wonderful boys. I enjoy spending my free time with them taking them to their sports practices and games. We are very active outdoors and love enjoying the trails in Western Pa. We also enjoy traveling when the opportunity allows.
