Environmental Science is the study of how humans interact with the environment. It draws from all of the other sciences as well as from other fields, to help us better understand the relationship between humans and the world we live in. Environmental Science was started when scientists began putting together the pieces of the environmental puzzle. They realized how subjects such as Ecology, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Geography, Law, Economics, and other fields of study played a part in the environment.

In this course, you will learn some basic concepts of environmental topics and apply them to solve world and local problems, and to make long term predictions. There will also be a focus of important topics in Biology that relate to Environmental Science.  Your learning will be supplemented with case studies, feature articles in the text, map studies, videos, and other classroom activities.
